We are seeking an experienced Service Technician for our Indianapolis, IN location. This person must have a proven track record of diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment. This position requires a clean driving record, minor electrical knowledge, willingness to learn, and physical mobility. This candidate will travel to customer sites to install, service and calibrate customers weighing equipment, document work performed via work orders, and communicate daily with internal office. Ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:
- Mechanically inclined individuals who prefer working with their hands and taking a part equipment to troubleshoot, service and repair
- Willing to work in all industries from pharmaceutical and food manufacturing to waste stations and chemical plants
- Basic electrical knowledge for checking Ohms and mV readings on certain parts
- Detail oriented for providing solutions, recording information on work orders and certificates
- Capable of working solo as well as in a team setting
- Willingness to push professional growth to keep up on the changes in the industry
- Technology savvy
- Strong communication and customer-building relationship skills
- CDL Class B license preferred
- Clean driving record
Service Technicians can expect to perform the following tasks daily:
- Perform routine/preventative maintenance, service calls, and new equipment installs on business’s industrial equipment in both indoor and outdoor facilities as well as clean and dirty environments
- Interacting with customers via communicating diagnosis and work performed
- Physical mobility of walking, bending, crawling, climbing, lifting test weights repeatedly, and/or carrying tools on a daily basis
- Able to work overtime hours to meet the customer needs when required
- Able to communicate new equipment opportunities to the customer and Indy Scale’s internal staff
- Driving to/from multiple service locations throughout the day

INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT SALES REP
We are seeking an experienced Business-to-Business sales representative to promote and sell our commercial scale products. This person must have a proven track record of creating new business and developing client relationships. This position requires calling on prospective clients, performing scope and documentation requirements, creating proposals, and managing the sales process end-to-end. This person will work directly with customers, meet with service technicians to analyze and review scope of the project, scheduling equipment installs with the service manager and coordinate invoicing with the accounting team. This role is a base plus commission and full benefits opportunity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive customer acquisitions via leads, referrals, and traditional cold calling methods
- Provide weighing solutions to meet customers’ needs
- Meet with customers to gather details for project needs
- Create proposals based on project requirements
- Inform management of sales pipeline weekly via Sales CRM
- Submit purchase orders to vendors for sold equipment
- Manage sales process within the scope of the proposal
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B sales
- Understands business decision cycle
- Cold calling and prospecting skills
- Effective oral and written communications via phone, email and/or in person
- Persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills
- Comfortable using CRM software to maintain book of business
- Ability to evaluate equipment, take measurements, and communicate specific equipment details
- Excellent customer service skills and customer relationship management
